Our Story

Built by Professionals,
for Professionals

Horizen Haven began after Clyde and Arrie experienced the same challenge again and again throughout their maritime careers. During demanding training courses and long periods away from home, finding accommodation that truly supported rest, focus, and recovery was often far more difficult than it should have been.

They realised that many professionals were facing the same problem: spaces that were functional, but rarely designed with the needs of working professionals in mind. Horizen Haven was created to change that, offering thoughtfully designed serviced accommodation where guests can relax, focus on their work, and feel comfortable while away from home.

As word spread and demand grew, what began as a solution for maritime professionals quickly proved valuable to a much wider community. Today, Horizen Haven continues to expand its portfolio, creating welcoming spaces for professionals across multiple industries.

Our Founders

Meet the Founders

Clyde and Arrie first met in 2017 while working on the build of a 100-metre superyacht. Over four years working side by side, they built a strong friendship and shared work ethic, before eventually moving on to pursue different opportunities across the maritime industry and UK property.

Years later, they reconnected by chance and realised they had both experienced the same challenges while working away from home. That conversation became the starting point for Horizen Haven.

Clyde Eddy, Co-Founder of Horizen Haven

Clyde Eddy

Co-Founder

Clyde was born in Kenya and spent much of his childhood sailing the East African coast on a traditional wooden dhow. Life at sea came naturally, and after school he continued that path, working on tall ships in the Indian Ocean before eventually moving into the superyacht industry, where he now serves as Chief Officer.

Arrian Gregg, Co-Founder of Horizen Haven

Arrian grew up on a small island in the Eastern Caribbean, where his curiosity for how things worked led him toward engineering. He began his career in the Royal Navy, later moving into commercial shipping and then the superyacht industry, where he now works as Chief Engineer.
